Welcome to Dierick's Tsiu River Lodge!
Family owned and operated since 1997. Greg Dierick has been fishing this river since he was a boy. Greg and his father, Ed, built this lodge after over forty years of fishing this river.
Our experience on this river is the experience we want to share with you.
We're located 120 miles north of Yakutat, nestled between the Wrangell-St. Elias Mountain Range and the Gulf of Alaska. The Tsiu River, pronounced "si - u," is a clear, pristine river that is home to a world-class run of Silver Salmon (Coho.)
From August to mid-October, you will be able to sight cast to thousands of these chrome bright fish, fresh in from the Gulf of Alaska.
The sandy bottom of this shallow river makes it easy and safe to wade across. Whether you are a spin caster, or a fly fisherman, you will have the time of your life fighting these aggressive fish.
Our season here at the Tsiu River Lodge runs from the first week of August until mid-October.
There are huge amounts of Cohos in the Tsiu River at this time. Steelhead start running in September.
Sockeye run earlier in the year; however, some years they are still in the lower part of the river in August. Also in the Tsiu River are Pink Salmon and Dolly Varden.
