Our lodge was built with the serious angler in mind. We have a 20' x 40' cookhouse were Alaskan sized meals are prepared by or experienced and friendly chef. You'll enjoy a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, oatmeal, cold cereal, and fresh fruit before your big day begins.
Your next meal is a fantastic deli style lunch with hot homemade soup. This can be eaten at the lodge or, if you prefer, brought down to you on the river. After a full day of fishing you can sit back, relax and began your gourmet dinner with our wonderful salad bar with a variety of homemade dressings.
For the entrée and experience some of Alaska's best fresh seafood paired with prime rib, New York steaks, turkey with all the trimmings or Cornish game hens. And last, but not least, there are several homemade desserts to choose from. You will not go hungry!
Our cabins give you privacy and comfort. Each cabin has a full bathroom, sink, toilet, shower, towels, out in cold running water, and electric heat. You'll enjoy a restful night's sleep in a bed with a quality, comfortable mattress, comforter, blanket, pillow and crisp cotton or cozy flannel sheets.
For your added convenience, we have built on a protected porch to each cabin, for hanging up your raingear, waders and fishing rods.
One of the numerous amenities we offer you is the use of our drying room. This room is kept in a warm temperatures so that your waders, boots, and any wet clothing will be warm, dry and ready to wear the next morning.
We have washing machines and dryers on site. Our staff will be happy to do your laundry if the need arises.
Many fish tale is told here! It also houses a TV with DVD movies, games and a library of books for you to enjoy.
Clients are allowed to keep four silver salmon a day. And are clean, sanitized processing room we take care of your fish for you. We will clean, fillet, vacuum packed and freeze your catch in our walk-in freezer.
When you're ready to leave, we box your fish in a 50lb. waxed fish boxes, so that it is airline ready. A fee is charged for all fish processing.
A 16' X 42' building contains the crew showers, bathrooms, storage room, laundry room and generator room.
A 34kw diesel generator powers all of our buildings.
The recreation building also has a fish pricessing room where we clean, fillet and vacuum pack our client's fish. We then freeze the processed fish in an 10' X 10' walk in freezer.
A fee is charged for all fish processing.
We have eight 12' X 20' client cabins which have their own showers and toilets; these are heated by oil stoves or electric heaters. We normally sleep 2-3 people per cabin, although we do have four bunks.
Clients are responsible for all airfares and housing to and from Dierick's Tsiu River Lodge.
Clients fly from their originating city to either Cordova, or Yakutat, Alaska via Alaska Airlines, and then to Dierick's Tsiu River Lodge by FAA approved, single-engine aircraft.
The cost of the round trip airfare to the Lodge by air taxi depends on the number of people aboard. Sometimes air taxi fares can be reduced by splitting charter flights with incoming and outgoing clients.
We can make the air taxi reservation for you if you wish. Please check with your airline and air taxi on baggage restrictions, both coming and going.
In order to serve you better, on your arrival, we need to know how many pounds of fish you plan to take home with you. We pack your frozen fish in wetlock boxes which hold a maximum of 70 pounds.
